Giants Still Fall Down
When taking on your toughest role
With heartache, pain or grief
Just count on God to calm your soul
And bring you sweet relief
When faced with the Impossible
Don't stumble or lose heart
With Christ the river's crossable
The waters He can part
No matter what the problem is
His help is at the door
Examination, test or quiz
He's seen it all before
In every age it's been that way
it's show the battle's won
When saints bow down and humbly pray ..
He moves and it is done
A shepherd boy found this true
When facing lion and bear
He called on God to see him through
And killed the savage pair.
He also faced a giant tall
who mocked God's men of war
and even though this kid was small
The "big man" hit the floor
Perhaps today you find yourself
With issues, stress and strain
You feel as if you're on a shelf
Just foolish, weak and plain
But God said He can use the weak
And foolish when they're grounded
He gives His strength to those who seek
The mighty are confounded
So when the Battles come your way
Trust Him who wears "The Crown"
For God can say - This Is the Day
That Giants sun Fall Down!!
Romans 8:31, 38, 39 what shall we say to these things?
If God be for us who can be against us?
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present,
nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any other creature
shall be able to separate us from the 1ove of God
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God's Word, The Bible
There are those who critique the Bible,
Without spiritual ability,
Who say God's word is filled With many discrepancies.
There are others gifted by God
Who shed light on distorted views,
Showing that in proper context,
all discrepancies are removed.
Still, the message of the Bible Is foreign to the natural man; It's only through the Spirit's enlightening
That a person can understand.
To most who read the Bible,
It's a good book at best;
But to those who know and seek the Lord It's a bottomless treasure chest.
Though It's origin is in the East,
It has continued to spread worldwide;
And the evidence that It's changing lives Is unable to be denied.
It's been proven historically accurate
Through uncovered archaeology;
Shown to have an Omniscient author Through fulfilled. prophecies.
Now science is finding, as it progresses,
God-less theories to be absurd;
Yes, even science must bow it's knee To the accuracy of God's Word.
"The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. " Isaiah 40:8

They Lie On The Table Side By Side
They lie on the table side by side
The Holy Bible and the T.V. Guide.
One is well worn and cherished with pride.
Not the Bible, but the T.V. Guide.
One is used daily to help folks decide.
No, not the Bible, but the T.V. Guide.
As the pages are turned, what shall they see?
Oh, what does it matter, turn on the T.V.
So they open the book in which they confide.
No, not the Bible, but the T.V. Guide.
The Word of God is seldom read.
Maybe a verse before they fall into bed.
Exhausted and sleepy and tired as can be.
Not from reading the Bible, from watching T.V.
So then back to the table side by side,
Lie the Holy Bible and the T.V. Guide.
No time for prayer, no time for the Word,
The plan of Salvation is seldom heard.
But forgiveness of sin, so full and free,
Is found in the Bible, not on T.V.

Song -He's Coming
How sweet are the tidings
that greet the pilgrim's ear,
as we wander in exile from home!
Soon, soon will the Saviour
in glory appear, and soon
will the kingdom come.
The mossy old graves
where the pilgrims sleep
shall be opened as wide as before,
and the millions that sleep
in the mighty deep
shall live on this earth once more.
There we'll meet never to part
in our happy Eden home,
sweet songs of redemption we'll sing;
from the north, from the south,
all the ransomed shall come,
and worship our heavenly king.
Hallelujah Amen! hallelujah again!
Soon, if faithful we all shall be there;
oh, be watchful, be hopeful,
be joyful till then, and a crown
of bright glory we'll wear.
He is coming, coming, coming soon I know,
coming back to this earth again;
And the weary pilgrims will to glory go,
When the Saviour comes to reign.

God's Creation: From the Beginning
by Alan Schuetz
Before space and time,
The Father thought,
Through My Son, the Light,
Everything should be brought.
So all would be accomplished
By Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God began with a watery planet
And the atmosphere around it.
The waters were in darkness; Without form was the earth.
Then God sent His Light
To usher forth a new birth.
Spiritual Light, God called "Day."
The Darkness, He called "Night."
Evening and morning - the first day
Witnessed His wonderful might!
To separate the planet waters
Both above and the deep below,
God said, "Let there be land,
A firmament." And it was so!
God called the atmosphere "Heaven,"
And the second day passed.
Evening and morning drew on
But, this would not be the last.
With the firmament still submerged,
God said, "Let dry land appear!"
So He gathered the surface waters; Both from far and from near.
God called the dry land "Earth;"
The gathered waters, "Seas."
His creation was good,
And in it, He was pleased.
Then our mighty God said,
"Let the Earth sprout green grasses
And herbs and fruit trees
Yielding seeds in great masses."
The Earth burst forth,
And it all came to be!
Evening and morning had passed -
The closing of day three.
"Let there be lights,"
God Almighty then said,
"In the expanse of the heavens."
There is nothing to dread!
"For signs and for seasons,
For days and for years
To divide day from night."
Our mighty God has no peers!
Greater light rules the day; The lesser rules the night.
The sun, moon, and stars -
Are good works in His sight.
All celestial bodies
God created to our dismay.
Evening and morning had passed -
Concluding the fourth day.
Then came sea creatures
And winged birds in the sky
God blessed them saying,
"Be fruitful and multiply."
Day five came and passed -
Another evening and morning.
What other miracles
Will He be performing?
Beasts of the earth
And the cattle in its kind
And every creeping thing
On the land, we did find.
But, God was not finished
With His wonderful plan.
For on day six,
He also created man!
From the dust of the ground
Our Lord, He did breathe
Into man's nostrils,
The Spirit, he received.
To man, God gave dominion:
Over birds and cattle and fish -
Even the creeping things!
To rule as he would wish.
Out of man, God formed woman.
A rib taken from his side
To make a suitable helpmate.
With him, she would reside.
This completes the sixth day.
Now came the time to rest,
God sanctified the Sabbath
His task completed with zest.
God made our universe
With the Father at its head.
And, He will make it anew
Because that's what He said.
Amen.

I see You in me Creating in me a new heart
This poem was written as I reflected on all the many, many times God came through for me. Maybe not when I wanted Him to come, but He was ALWAYS on time. Name of author not available at this time.
He's An On Time God - Yes He Is!!!!
What do you do when bills are due
And you're backed up against the wall
The ceiling closes in... the bottom drops out
And it seems like you're going to fall
Do you throw up your hands and give up the fight
Or do you hold on to God with all of your might
Do you trust IN HIM to meet all your needs
While He listens to Jesus
As YOUR case HE PLEADS
Do you worry and fret
Over words that men say
Or do you go in your closet
Bow down and just pray
Are you confident in God
Who is our Father above
Are you assured of His wisdom
Are you convinced of His Love
He sees and He knows
Everything about you
He knows all your pain
All those things you go through
He'll never give you more
Then He knows that you can bear
He'll provide a way of escape
BEFORE you pull out your hair
He's An On Time God
I know that He is
He'll stop what He's doing
COME SEE those that are His
He's never too late
But He's ALWAYS on time
That's why I love Him
This wonderful friend of mine
I love Him in the morning
I love Him late at night
When things seem dark around me
I've found HIM to be my light
He leads me and He guides me
He instructs me what to do
He takes those bad situations
And He makes them all brand new
Some times He answers quickly
Some times I have to wait
But one thing is for certain
He's Never Never Late!!!!
He's An On Time God
Yes He Is!!!

The Rest of the Way
He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5 O fathomless mercy, O infinite grace
In humble thanksgiving the road I retrace
Thou never hast failed me, my Strength
and my Stay; To whom should I turn for the rest of
the way?
Through danger, through darkness, by
day and by night
Thou ever has guided and guided
aright
I have trusted in Thee and peacefully
lay
My hand in Thy hand for the rest of the
way.
Thy cross all my refuge, Thy blood all
my plea
None other I need, blessed Jesus, but
Thee
I fear not the shadows at the close of
life's day
For Thou wilt go with me the rest of
the way.

For this God is our God.
The Feasts
by Roger Montgomery Ó¦lt;br>
Men will discover by sword or by pen
Peace cannot come by the will of men
Men will cry peace, too soon, too late
And scream in horror at their fate.
What is this that we all must see?
The world is trembling in agony
For in the clouds there is a storm
That kills the weak and destroys the strong.
Oh, I should stop, but it is fast
Approaching the end, till at last
Like a boat approaching the rapids ahead
The current will claim the weak and the dead.
What is this, the skyscrapers fall?
And out of the debris few will crawl
The waters will claim many who are left
As nature closes in, their end is swift.
What is this, you want to change?
God gave a party, but few came
God sent the Way, He offered the ride
Now attend the funeral for those who denied.
God offered the feast for those who cared
He sent the invitation, but who has heard?
Come unto the feast, ye sons of men
Come unto Jesus, be born again.
God called a feast, it's in His Word
He's called another for the birds.
To those who attend the first, we're glad you came
To those the second, didn't you understand?
God called two feasts, it sounds absurd
One is for man and the others for the birds
God called two feasts, it's in your hands
Which one do you plan to attend?
Fight the Good Fight
Let us fight the good fight of faith,
As God's Spirit leads the way; Put on the whole armor of God
For protection every day.
Fight for righteousness in the land,
That all people would be free;
Trust God's powerful, sovereign hand,
For He holds our destiny.
Evil is conquered, not by might,
But by God's Spirit and prayer; As we follow the Shepherd's lead,
He will keep us in His care.
The King of Glory is with us,
In His presence we abide;
We're on the winning side.
Be strong in the Lord and stand firm,
Obeying the Father's will; The foe may destroy the body
But the soul He cannot kill.
Faith is the victory my Friend,
It will set the captive free; Let us Fight the Good Fight of Faith,
Whatever the cost may be!
Suffering Persecution
Should we ever think it strange
When hated and reviled
By those outside the Shepherd's fold,
Living their lives defiled?
Should we despair when rejected
By those not living right-
Imprisoned in a state of darkness,
Unable to see the Light?
Should we wonder why we're ridiculed,
And often falsely accused,
By the self-righteous religionists
Who all their sin excuse?
Should we be perplexed
When persecuted on every hand
By the enemies of our Lord
Who do not understand?
Christ, Himself, suffered these things
At the hands of men who hate,
And He instructs His people to be glad,
For our reward in heaven is great.
We're to persevere with all the saints,
As we share the redemption story; It will be worth it all when we get home-
And rejoice with Him in Glory!
The Spiritual Battle
There is a spiritual battle going on
Between evil and what is right,
And the enemy gets the strong hold
When we fail to walk in Light.
Fighting within must first be conquered,
Then true soldiers we can be,
Giving our all for the cause of Christ,
As He gave all on Calvary.
We must stay focused on our Leader,
The great Shepherd of our soul,
And always follow His instructions,
As He gently leads His fold.
Let us arm for spiritual battle,
From our head down to our feet,
When the Holy Spirit empowers,
We shall stand, and not retreat.
The enemy is a defeated foe
Before the battle begins; He is conquered by the blood of the Lamb,
And His time on earth soon ends.
March on, march on, oh Christian soldier,
Until your life here is o'er; You'll reap rewards from your Great Shepherd
Right here and on heaven's shore.
Fiery Trials
I'd rather go thru fiery trials
Where I clearly see my King
Than to walk in comfort and ease
And never have fruit to bring.
We may never have come to Christ,
Had it not been for the fire
We may not have been born again,
Nor even had the desire.
It is in those times of trouble
That our hearts are drawn to Him,
As the Light of His glory shines
Right into the darkness grim.
Yes, I'd rather have fiery trials,
As many as my soul needs,
I want the garden of my heart
To be free of worldly weeds.
Let us thank Him for every trial,
The suffering, heartache, and pain
May He take us thru all we need,
That His will be clear and plain.
The trial of our faith is worth more
Than fine gold, which shall perish
It purifies, bringing glory
To our Lord whom we cherish.
Whatever it takes to know Him,
Even the furnace of fire
That is where I want to be
To know Christ is my desire.
"That the trial of your faith
Heaven and Earth Shaken
Heaven and earth are being shaken,
That much better things may be.
Souls are being stirred and awakened
To things of eternity.
Temporal things sometimes are taken,
Only for a greater gain,
That those things which cannot be shaken
May forevermore remain.
Professing Christians are being tried,
And their faith in Jesus proved.
As this world is shaking far and wide
Genuine faith is unmoved.
Our God is loving, and very near,
Yet, He's a consuming fire; Let us serve with reverential fear
And to greater heights aspire.
When storms are raging around us, friend,
We have the grace to endure.
The kingdom of our God is within
Unmovable and secure.
His people shall not be forsaken,
With Christ, we shall ever reign
As all Heaven and Earth are Shaken
His great kingdom shall remain.
"Now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only,
but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of
those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things
which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom
which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God
acceptably with reverence and godly fear; For our God is a consuming fire."
(Heb 12:26-29)
In Troublesome Times
Things on this earth are growing worse,
It is so plain to see:
There are wars and rumors of wars,
We struggle to be free,
Nation rising against nation
So much turmoil and fear,
This whole world is being shaken
The end is surely near
Such troublesome times!
But all these things must come to pass
Before the best can be; Our refuge is in Jesus Christ,
Soon His face we shall see.
Be sure you know Him as your Lord,
He is our only hope; Anchored in Him, we are secure
We have the grace to cope...
In troublesome times.
Our Lord is always with us, friend,
When in Him we abide,
And whatever troubles may come,
He is there by our side.
One day He is coming again
Oh, what a glorious day!
Our redemption is drawing nigh
Let us look up and pray
In Troublesome Times.
"When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of man."
(Lu 21:28, 36)
Persecution
Persecution comes to all who stand
For Truth and righteousness
All who seek to follow Jesus Christ,
And walk in holiness.
Friend, we need not ever think it strange
That vicious darts are hurled
At those who take a stand for the Lord
In this rebellious world.
Every man and woman, boy and girl,
Who lives a Godly life
Can expect to face opposition,
Persecution and strife.
Yet, we can be joyful in the midst
Of trouble we go through
Knowing we suffer for Jesus sake,
As His will we pursue.
Let us stand firm on God's precious Word,
And never compromise
As we reach out in love to the lost,
Every need He supplies.
When persecution comes, and it will,
Let us bow down and pray
Strengthened, we will rise to serve our Lord
More like Him in that day.
"Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."
Jesus said: "The servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me,
they will also persecute you."
"Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."
(II Tim 3:12; Jo 15:20; Matt 5:44)
Strong Faith Like Daniel
May God give us Strong Faith like Daniel,
A faith tested, tried, and true,
And help us stand in times of danger
Whatever others may do.
Should a law be passed that breaks God's law,
May we obey Him, not man,
And always be willing to give all
For His purposes and plan.
Daniel stood firm, and refused to bend,
Though the king passed a decree,
He continued to pray without end
Openly, where all could see.
As He was thrown in the lions den,
God's angel kept him from harm; Because Daniel had refused to sin
He was shielded by God's arm.
As he stood firm upon the Word
And believed in His great God,
The king saw, and came to know the Lord
The true and the Living God.
Oh, God, give us Strong Faith like Daniel,
Faith to believe and obey,
Even in the face of great danger
That others would know Your way.
"Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him,
because he believed in his God."
king Darius wrote: "I make a decree, that in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble
and fear before the God of Daniel; for he is the living God"
(Dan 6:23, 26)
The Battle is Won!
When the battle is raging, my friend,
And it looks as though evil will win,
Just take a look in the Holy Book
And you will know who wins in the end
Jesus Christ Has Overcome!
Always remember, He is with you,
He's all powerful, faithful, and true,
Just be aware of His presence there
His loving arms will carry you through
You are secure in God's Son!
In the heat of the fierce battle, friend,
On Christ, your Savior, you can depend,
So, never doubt, as you look about
Just trust in His Spirit to defend
For He Has Already Won!
When, in Jesus, we live and abide,
As the battle rages, we are tried,
But as we look in the Holy Book
We know, for sure, God is on our side
Victory is in His Son!
Jesus Christ conquered all when He came,
And the battle is won, praise His Name!
As He hung there, with such love and care
He overcame evil, sin, and shame
Yes, The Battle is Won!
"Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
"Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that
Jesus is the Son of God"
(I Co 15:57; I John 5:5)
He Is With Us
In the heat of the battle - God is there
His people shall prevail
He provides spiritual armor to wear
That cannot ever fail.
He Is With Us.
In the hot fiery furnace - God is there
He's forever the same
As in days of old, we can trust His care
To shield us from the flame.
He Is With Us.
In the deep, dark waters, friend - God is there
We shall never perish
He loves us with a love beyond compare
Each life He doth cherish.
He Is With Us.
When we face angry lions - God is there
There's no need for alarm
He can shut mouths of lions anywhere,
And shield us from all harm.
He Is With Us.
As we face giants in life, friend - God is there
He'll give the victory
He helped David slay the giant and the bear,
And He'll help you and me.
He Is With Us.
Thus saith the Lord: "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour"
(Is 43: 2-3)
Stand Firm
When your world seems to be tumbling down
And you are tempted to give up,
The Spirit of God is all around
Look to Him, He will fill your cup.
Stand firm on the written Word of God,
Whatever the trials may be,
As you take a Godly stand for Truth
His amazing hand you will see
Stand Firm.
When the foundations begin to shake,
And fear grips both your heart and soul,
Remember, this world is in God's hands
And you are safe within His fold.
Stand firm as you testify of Christ,
And how He changed your life that day,
Though Satan would attempt to hinder
You'll have strength and grace as you pray
Stand Firm.
When temptations come your way, my friend,
And pleasures of this world entice,
Consider the price paid for your sin
And the joyous pleasures in Christ.
Put on the entire armor of God,
And you will be able to stand,
Our God is more powerful than all
Hallelujah! We're in His hand
Stand Firm.
"Take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand
In the evil day, and having done all to stand."
(Eph 6:13)
